Details

The linocut technique is a linoleum plate engraving process used to print and reproduce designs by hand.
Using iron gouges, plates are engraved and material is removed according to the design motifs. Once engraved, the plate serves as a large stamp that can be inked in a variety of colors.

You leave with your engraved plate, several cards printed with your design and your preparatory sketches.
You don't need to have any previous experience of engraving or drawing; I propose to teach you all the basics of these practices, which will then enable you to make your own projects at home if you want to go further.
The workshop lasts 2 hours, and all materials are provided: engraving equipment, paper and inks.

The linocut workshop is divided into three parts:
- Observing the mountain and sketching
- Engraving on linoleum plate Printing and
- Reproduction of the motif on paper.
