Easy Hikes in La Clusaz

Looking for nature, beautiful panoramas, and fresh air? From Annecy, there’s no need to take the car to enjoy a wonderful mountain escape. We’ve selected a range of hikes accessible by bus, perfect for a day outdoors. Whether alone, with family, or friends, these easy routes will take you to explore the most beautiful spots around La Clusaz.

To tantalize your taste buds

LES CORBASSIÈRES

Start your adventure by taking the Beauregard gondola from La Clusaz, or begin at the Col de la Croix Fry for an extra 45-minute walk. Enjoy the ride up and take in the breathtaking views of the village below and the surrounding mountains! Once at the top, start your descent toward the charming Ferme des Corbassières. There, treat yourself to a local snack of blueberry tart, fresh farmhouse cheese, and other regional delicacies. Continue your hike to Lac de la Ferriaz, which offers a spectacular view of the Aravis mountain range. It’s the perfect spot for a photo break and peaceful contemplation of the landscape. When you’re ready to head back, follow the signs for “La Clusaz via the hamlet of Patton.” This path will lead you through a typical Aravis hamlet, where the authenticity and charm of the alpine chalets will transport you to another time. Keep walking until you reach the center of La Clusaz, marking the end of this beautiful hike.

For a refreshing experience

TOUR of LAC DES CONFINS

For this easy hike with little elevation gain, start from the Confins Chapelle bus stop. Then, follow the path to the right after the parking lot until you reach the zip line. From there, you can loop around the lake to enjoy the refreshing atmosphere. This 3 km loop offers a beautiful panorama, making it perfect for a leisurely post-meal stroll with the family!

For the more adventurous, it’s possible to connect to longer hiking routes, such as the Tête de Danay loop or the Lac de Tardevant hike.

For a picnic with a view

LES ENCARNES

For a picnic with a breathtaking view, head to Les Encarnes in La Clusaz. From the center of the village, take the Crêt du Merle and Crêt du Loup chairlifts. At the top, a spectacular panorama awaits. Enjoy this moment by settling on our terrace, which is equipped with a plancha, comfortable loungers, and picnic tables. For thrill-seekers, you can try La Bascule, an exhilarating activity where you can soar through the air.

After this pleasant break, it’s time to get back on the trail. Follow the path marked “La Clusaz” that leads you through the Combe du Voret. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a shaded descent through the heart of the forest, providing a cool and peaceful refuge under the trees. Allow around 2 hours for the descent back to the village. This hike is perfect for those who want to combine outdoor activity with a picnic in an exceptional setting.

CROIX DE FER

From the Col des Aravis, accessible by the line 7 shuttle from La Clusaz (final stop: Col des Aravis), this easy hike takes you along the “Route de la Soif,” a wide path that crosses the alpine meadows. In just about an hour and a half, you’ll reach the Croix de Fer, rewarded with a stunning view of Mont Blanc.

The route is not demanding, making it ideal for a family outing or a relaxing nature break. On the way back, consider stopping for a tasty treat at Les Rhodos or La Porte des Aravis to sample local flavors in an exceptional setting.
