La Clusaz lands at the High Five Festival

The traditional rendezvous for all mountain, ski, outdoor sports and party lovers is just around the corner. As you may have guessed, from September 29 to October 1, our team will be spending a few days in Annecy for the High Five Festival. And, be warned, we’re not coming empty-handed!

Gifts

This winter, we’re celebrating Le Massif de Balme’s 60th anniversary, and with anniversaries come gifts:

  • A new limited-edition La Clusaz ski in collaboration with Faction.
  • Ski passes to be the first at the top on opening day.
  • Unique souvenirs to redecorate your living room.
  • Reblochon cheese carefully selected from the best farms in the valley.
  • Some gear for the coming season…

Oh, we’re not going to give it all away here either! Instead, we hope to see many of you there to discover it all on our stand in the middle of the Paquier. We’ll be playing games on the shores of Lake Annecy all weekend long, to spoil even the most motivated of you!

Some reading

Because we love to tell stories, play journalist and improvise as bloggers, we’re packing our bags to keep you reading until winter arrives.

The fourth issue of our magazine No Story No Future has just come off the press. Regular readers will discover a new format, a new layout and, above all, new features. As for newcomers, they’ll be in for a real treat. In both cases, we bet you’ll learn a lot of great things!

Our elders have been hard at work too! The Patrimoine et Tradition association, in collaboration with the Tourist Office, has just published La Clusaz : Balme et son histoire. This attractive book traces the development of the Domaine de Balme. Testimonials and archive images should delight fans of the area, and mountain lovers in general.

Finally, to illustrate all this and bring back memories, our stand will be transformed into an ephemeral exhibition dedicated to 60 years of Balme. You’ve got to admit, it’s a lot more interesting than going round the other stands scratching off three stickers and a key-ring!

Movies

Our riders were hard at work last winter, both literally and figuratively. So here’s the list of not-to-be-missed screenings during the festival to discover the latest masterpieces concocted by our many LCZ ambassadors:
