The pitch

This activity is a cross between hiking and mountaineering. 700 m long, the via ferrata "Yves Pollet-Villard" is equipped with ladders, footbridges, ramps and cables. Situated in the Borderan Mountain, the via ferrata is near the Aravis Pass road.

Opening

From 06/05 to 14/11.
The opening dates are given for information purposes only. We recommend contacting the Tourist Office to confirm the accessibility of the route.

In any case, access to the via ferrata is prohibited by municipal decree from November 15 to May 5. Outside this period, access is strongly discouraged if there is significant snow cover and/or the safety inspection has not been carried out.

Details

The 700 m of the "Yves Pollet-Villard" via ferrata are carved directly into the flanks of the Borderan cliff, offering a spectacular route perched between 1,500 and 1,800 m above sea level.

Equipped with rungs, footbridges, ramps and cables, they are now more accessible. Located in the Combe de Borderan, the via ferrata overlooks the Col des Aravis road.

In accordance with municipal by-law no. 07/079, dated May 3, 2007, the via ferrata is off-limits from November 15 to May 5, and outside this period if the inspection has not been carried out and the return journey is unsafe due to heavy snow.
