Crêt du Merle74220 La Clusaz
The pitch
A beautiful all-mountain itinerary, mostly downhill, between forest and alpine pastures, with lovely views of the resort of La Clusaz and the Aravis mountain range.
Details
After the Route du Crêt du Merle, the route turns uphill, quickly becoming a forest track and then a single-track to the Crèvetout farm. From here, you can admire the Étale massif, the Tête de Cabeau, the Plateau de Beauregard and the Tournette summit in the background. The trail then becomes more technical, with several hairpin bends and a slightly steep section where you need to be careful to control your speed. It continues through woodland and meadows, leading to the Route du Col des Aravis for a short stretch of road, but soon joins a new single-track offering unparalleled views of the resort. Finally, the downhill route reaches the resort center via a succession of 4x4 trails, forest tracks and small roads.
Distance: 9.5 km / Ascent: 160 m / Descent: 630 m / Duration: 1h10 / e-Bike duration: 0h40
