The legendary Derby de Balme is back, and it's reinvented with a more collective and freeride format! In teams of 2, in a festive and friendly atmosphere, snow sports enthusiasts will take to the mythical slopes of the Balme massif!

The legendary Balme Derby is thus being reinvented, with a more team-oriented and freeride-focused format, staying true to the spirit of the Grands Raids. Organized by two associations, Les Pisteurs de La Clusaz and Les Cerveaux Pleins d’Eau, they are offering a new take on this legendary event.

All-discipline derby (skis, monoskis, snowboards, telemark, etc.)
2 qualifying runs per team
Mass start final featuring the top 10 teams (i.e., the top 20 riders)
2 registration categories:
• Standard (2 skiers per team): €100
• Sponsored teams (2 skiers per team representing a company): €250
All day long, visit the event village at the base of the Balme gondola, featuring a refreshment stand, a giant tartiflette, and a concert!
7:30–8:30 a.m.: Race bib pickup
8:30–9:15 a.m.: Ascent to the summit of Torchère
9:45 AM – 10:00 AM: Safety Briefing
10:00 AM: First Special Stage
12:00 PM: Second Special Stage
12:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Snack Break
2:00 PM: Announcement of Finalists
3:00 PM: Mass Start
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Live Concert
5:00 PM: Awards Ceremony
