This was in fulfillment of a promise he had made:<br \/>\n\u201cAll prisoners of the 1939\u201340 war had returned, and until 1945, there were no casualties among the population. \u201d<br \/>\nThe majestic statue was sculpted by Jean-Constant Demaison, donated by a \u201cCluse,\u201d and the wayside shrine was built by Mr. Taillot. Then, following the expansion of the ski area and the ski lifts, the wayside shrine was demolished and Christ the King was stored in the school\u2019s basement.<br \/>\nIn 2005, the Heritage and Tradition Association brought Christ the King out of hibernation to install him here \u201cSur la Perri\u00e8re.\u201d The dedicated heritage artisans carved and built an oratory in a very local style, and Christ the King descended from the sky thanks to a helicopter!<br \/>\nEnjoy this peaceful and tranquil spot!
