La Clusaz is proud of its history and its traditions. Founded in the Middle Ages, it has developed through the centuries into the thriving ski resort it is today. Heritage trails are organized with local guides to reveal the myths and legends of this village that remains strongly influenced by its traditions. 2007 saw the 100th anniversary of winter sports in the village and you can find out all about the history of skiing and tourism in la Clusaz at the Maison du Ski, set up by Dominique Thovex.
